Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds and/or flaked coconut

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs until light and lemon colored.
  2. Gradually beat in sugar; add extract.
  3. Sift in flour and salt; lastly add the melted butter.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Pour into a nonstick or greased and floured cake pan (one layer cake pan will do).
  6. Sprinkle the nuts or coconut.
  7. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan.
