Ingredients

  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. white bread flour
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix together the first 6 ingredients; let stand 1 hour.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix thoroughly.
  4. When enough flour has been added to make a soft dough, grease dough well.
  5. Also grease the bowl.
  6. Let stand for 30 minutes.
  7. Work down and grease again. Let rise for 1 hour.
  8. Work out into 3 loaves; let rise again.
