- Pour the strawberry gelatin mixture into a 6-cup ring pan.
- Chill until set, but not firm, about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Chill remaining gelatin in a bowl; gradually blend in 1/3 cup sour cream.
- Spoon the sour cream mixture over the gelatin in the mold.
- Chill until set but not firm, about 15 minutes.
- Repeat the procedure using lime gelatin, remaining 2 1/2 cups boiling water, and 1/3 cup sour cream.
- Chill the assembled gelatin for 2 hours until fully set.
- Unmold the gelatin ring before serving.
