Ingredients

  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon oil flavoring
  • food coloring

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and Karo syrup in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage (around 300°F).
  2. Remove from heat and carefully stir in powdered sugar until fully dissolved and smooth.
  3. Divide the mixture and add food coloring and flavoring oils to each portion as desired.
  4. Pour the colored and flavored mixtures onto a greased or parchment-lined surface to cool and harden.
  5. Once cooled, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
