- Cook the canned pintos in a pan on low heat until they are soft.
- While the beans are cooking, cut the small onion into pieces and add to the pintos. Continue cooking until the onion is soft.

- Remove from heat and transfer the pintos to the refrigerator. Let sit overnight.
- Do not reheat; serve cold.
