Ingredients

  • 1 recipe pie crust
  • 3 cups huckleberries
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Divide the pie crust into two equal parts.
  2. Place one crust in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Prepare the huckleberries by cooking them with 2 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of sugar until very hot and the sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the hot berry mixture over the crust in the pan.
  5. Cover with the second crust.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve warm or cold with ice cream for an extra treat.
