Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. hot roll mix
  • 1/3 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 2 tsp. coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the instant minced onion and water; let stand 10 minutes to soften.
  2. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  3. Prepare hot roll mix according to package directions; set aside 5 minutes.
  4. On a floured board, shape the dough into a 7-inch circle.
  5. Place the dough in the prepared pan. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30 to 60 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  7. Bake until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped with fingers, about 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from the pan and cool on a rack.
