Ingredients

  • 6 eggs, separated (at room temperature)
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 3 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Grease and flour a tube or loaf pan. Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar, then add egg yolks one at a time.
  4. Add flour, soda and sour cream, mixing well.
  5. Stir in flavorings.
  6. Fold in egg whites. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
