Ingredients

  • 6 cups Concord grapes
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Separate grape pulp from skins.
  2. Cook pulp until you can strain out seeds.
  3. Mix cooked pulp, skins, cornstarch, sugar, lemon juice, salt, and butter.
  4. Pour mixture into the pie shell with a lattice top.
  5. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  6. Bake at 400° to 425°F for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
