Instructions
- Let beans soak in water for about an hour until they start to swell. Pour off the water, add ham bone or ham hocks.
- Add enough water to cover the ham bone and beans.
- Add the rest of the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil and let simmer for about 4 or 5 hours.
