Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder (heap just a little)
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Blend well the sugar, shortening and eggs.
  2. Beat well.
  3. Add milk and baking powder.
  4. Sift flour before measuring.
  5. Add flour and beat well.
  6. Add extracts.
