Just Cucumber Slices

Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced into thick slices
  • 1/2 sliced onion (optional)
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup vinegar
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl toss together the cucumbers, onion, if using, and dill.
  2. Combine sugar, vinegar, water and salt and bring to a boil.
  3. Pour over cucumbers.
  4. Stir to coat.
  5. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
