Ingredients

  • 3 oz. instant coffee
  • 2 5/8 cups boiling water
  • 7 cups sugar
  • 5 cups water
  • 1/3 cup vanilla
  • 1 fifth vodka

Instructions

  1. Boil the instant coffee and 2 5/8 cups boiling water; set aside to cool.
  2. Boil the sugar and 5 cups water for 5 minutes, then cool.
  3. Mix the cooled coffee mixture with the sugar syrup.
  4. Add the vanilla and vodka to the mixture.
  5. Combine all ingredients thoroughly and pour into four fifth-sized bottles.
  6. Seal the bottles and store. This liquor does not need refrigeration and will keep well.
  7. Yields approximately 4 1/2 fifths.
