- Combine the self-rising flour, salt, sugar, and beer in a mixing bowl.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan or baking dish.
- Place in a cold oven.
- Turn the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 45 minutes.
- Check the bread; if it is browning too much on top, cover with foil.
- Continue baking for up to 60 minutes total, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
