Ingredients

  • 8 knockwurst sausages
  • 1 pint beer
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Simmer the knockwurst in beer very slowly for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the knockwurst to a heated shallow baking dish.
  3. Reduce the beer to 1/3 cup by rapid boiling and stir in the vinegar and sugar.
  4. Pour the beer mixture over the knockwurst and broil briefly, turning to brown on all sides.
