Ingredients

  • 12 egg yolks
  • 2 lb. lard
  • 1 large cake yeast
  • 5 Tbsp. water
  • 2 c. milk
  • pinch of salt
  • flour

Instructions

  1. Combine water and yeast. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  2. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
  3. Knead until dough is smooth or until dough works clean from hands.
  4. Wrap in towel and put in cold water.
  5. Let stand 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle board with powdered sugar and roll out dough.
  7. Cut into squares and fill with favorite filling.
