Lemon Cake Custard

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 8 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 10 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • grated rind of lemon
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 6 egg whites
  • 3 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Add sugar, flour and
  2. salt together.
  3. To melted butter, add lemon juice and rind.
  4. Blend
  5. well.
  6. Add
  7. well
  8. beaten egg yolks to milk.
  9. Mix all
  10. together.
  11. Fold
  12. in beaten egg whites and put in glass Pyrex dish (9 x 13-inch) or use Pyrex custard cups.
  13. Set this in pan of
  14. hot
  15. water
  16. and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
