A crunchy, sweet peanut brittle with rich caramel flavor and toasted peanuts, perfect for sharing during festive occasions or as a satisfying homemade treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 2 c. raw peanuts
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil, then add sugar and syrup.
  2. Stir until dissolved and boil until it will spin a thread.
  3. Remove from fire and add butter, soda, and vanilla quickly.
  4. Spread on two large well-buttered cookie sheets.
  5. Place in a cool area to set.
