Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. strawberry Jello
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can chilled evaporated milk
  • Vanilla wafer or graham cracker crust

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, eggs, and fresh strawberries in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a hard boil, then remove from stove and add strawberry Jello.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Whip chilled evaporated milk until it forms soft peaks, then fold into the cooled mixture.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
  6. Chill the pie until set.
  7. Add a few drops of red food coloring if desired before serving.
