Ingredients

  • 1 lb. walnuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Bring 6 cups of water to a boil in a large pan.
  2. Add walnuts to the boiling water; bring back to a boil and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Drain the walnuts and rinse under cold water.
  4. Drain the walnuts well to remove excess water.
  5. Toss the walnuts with sugar until they are well coated.
  6. Fry the sugared walnuts in hot oil until golden and crispy.
