Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton lite Cool Whip
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) package instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups skim milk

Instructions

  1. Slice a 1-inch layer off the top of the angel food cake.
  2. Gently hollow out a trench in the cake 1 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches deep.
  3. Tear the cake from the trench into small pieces.
  4. Combine the skim milk and instant chocolate pudding mix.
  5. Beat on low speed of an electric mixer for 2 minutes.
  6. Fold the cake pieces and 1 3/4 cups of whipped topping into the pudding mixture.
  7. Fill the trench with the mixture and replace the top of the cake.
  8. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the sides and top of the cake.
  9. Chill before serving.
