Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pinto beans
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Add water and all ingredients except sausage and simmer for 3 hours.
  2. Fry the hot sausage; drain.
  3. Add to the beans and cook 1 hour longer.
