Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. whole cloves or 1 tsp. fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 12 oz. pineapple juice
  • 12 oz. chilled lemon-lime soda or ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Using 6 tea bags, prepare tea with 2 1/2 quarts of water, adding cloves or mint leaves.
  2. Remove tea bags and cloves or mint immediately.
  3. Sweeten the hot tea to taste.
  4. Add pineapple juice and lemon juice; chill.
  5. Just before serving, add soda or ginger ale and stir lightly.
  6. Serve in tall, chilled glasses with lemon garnish.
