Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. parched peanuts, husked and crushed

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, egg yolks, and sweet milk together in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, stirring often to prevent sticking.
  3. Add crushed parched peanuts and vanilla extract, then stir well.
  4. Pour the filling into a cooled baked pie shell.
  5. Top with meringue, then brown until golden.
