Maple Syrup Icing

Ingredients

  • 2 c. maple syrup
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Boil syrup until it forms a thread.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff, adding syrup slowly until icing is cold and thick.
  3. Add baking powder during last part of beating.
  4. Sufficient for icing and filling for 9-inch layer cake.
  5. Delicious!!
