Ingredients

  • 1 lb. margarine or butter, softened
  • 3 1/3 c. sugar
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 10 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and sugar.
  2. Have flour sifted 3 times with cream of tartar.
  3. Add flour and eggs alternately, beginning with flour and ending with flour.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
