Ingredients

  • seasoning salt
  • 1 pkg. yellow corn meal
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • 1 qt. noncholesterol oil

Instructions

  2. Mix cornmeal, black pepper, seasoning salt, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
  3. Fill a saucepan with enough oil to be about 1 inch deep and heat to 375°F.
  4. Dredge the catfish in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
  5. Cook the coated catfish in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes per side.
