Meringued Nuts

Instructions
- Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar.
- Add sugar a little at a time until all sugar is dissolved.
- Add vanilla.
- Fold pecans into meringue mixture.
- Melt 1 stick margarine onto cookie sheet. Spread meringue and nut mixture over melted margarine.
- Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
- Use spatula and turn nuts every 10 minutes. If too brown, after 20 minutes, turn oven down and cook another 10 minutes.
