Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • grated rind of 1 orange
  • large handful fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Place sugar and water in a saucepan and boil for 10 minutes.
  2. Squeeze juice from lemons and oranges.
  3. Place juices, grated rind, and mint in a juice container and add the boiled sugar/water mixture.
  4. Refrigerate at least 24 hours.
  5. Mix approximately 1 1/2 parts water to 1 part syrup.
  6. Pour over ice in glasses.
  7. Mixture may be kept up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator or frozen for later use.
