Ingredients

  • 1 white cake mix
  • 1 cup candied lemon peel
  • 1 cup candied orange peel
  • 1 cup candied citron peel
  • 1 cup candied cherries, cut in half
  • 1.5 cups white seedless raisins
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 4.5 cups chopped blanched almonds or walnuts
  • 1 Betty Crocker white fluffy frosting mix

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the directions on the cake mix package.
  2. Break the baked cake into small pieces and add the candied lemon peel, orange peel, citron peel, candied cherries, raisins, and flaked coconut.
  3. Prepare the frosting mix according to the directions on its package.
  4. Add the frosting to the cake and fruit mixture.
  5. Mix well with your hands and pack the mixture tightly into foil-lined tube or loaf pans.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 24 hours before cutting and serving.
