Ingredients

  • 1 box club crackers
  • 1 bag sliced almonds
  • 2 sticks butter (1 cup)
  • 2/3 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Line two cookie sheets with foil and arrange the crackers in a single layer on each sheet.
  2. Cover the crackers with a layer of sliced almonds.
  3. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  4. In a saucepan on the stove, melt the butter and sugar together and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Use a spoon to drizzle the hot butter-sugar mixture evenly over the crackers and almonds.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, ensuring the oven rack is set on the above-center position.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the counter.
  9. Carefully cut into pieces one at a time and serve.
