  1. Fire a generous amount of charcoal; when they're all red, push them evenly to the sides of your grill, forming a circle.
  2. Put fresh charcoal cubes on top of the hot coals (be generous).
  3. Place a medium pot of water in the center of the grill's opening or circle.
  4. Place a cooking rack over the pot of water and set the turkey on the rack.
  5. Ensure the turkey is in a large baking pan.
  6. Soak a handkerchief in butter and place it over the turkey.
  7. Close the grill lid and go shopping.
  8. Turkey will be done in about 6 hours.
