Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 egg whites
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cream butter well; add sugar gradually.
  2. Add egg yolks and beat well.
  3. Add flour and baking powder a little at a time and blend well with lemon juice.
  4. Fold in beaten egg whites.
  5. Bake in well-greased and floured jelly roll pan.
  6. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Cut with water glass into moon shapes.
