Ingredients

  • 3 c. Masa Harina corn flour
  • 1½ c. hot (almost boiling) water

Instructions

  1. Combine 3 cups of masa harina with 1½ cups of hot (almost boiling) water in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix until the dough is smooth and pliable, adding more water or harina if needed.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Place a plastic paper (6 x 8-inch) sheet inside a tortilla press.
  5. Place a dough ball between the plastic sheets and press to flatten into a thin circle.
  6. Carefully peel off the plastic paper and cook the tortilla on a hot skillet or griddle until lightly browned on both sides.
  7. Repeat with remaining dough balls to form all taco shells.
