Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. cake flour (unsifted)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp. rum flavoring
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients.
  2. Cook in greased cake pan 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325° to 350°.
