Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 lb. round steak (use plenty of meat)
  • 1 to 2 lb. carrots, cut up
  • 1 to 2 lb. celery, cut small
  • 1 lb. turnips, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, peeled and cooked awhile

Instructions

  1. Use 4-gallon stew pot. Add 2 gallons of water to start. You may add more water later if you need it. Add all veggies, except potatoes, and cook for 30 minutes on medium heat. Add pre-cooked meat and potatoes; cook another 30 minutes. Add seasoning and simmer until ready to eat.
