- Cut tortilla shells into eights and fry in oil until crisp; drain on paper towel.
- Set aside.
- Arrange fried tortilla shells on a cookie sheet.
- Cut and arrange a generous cube of cheese on each.
- Add a slice of hot dog and a small slice of hot pepper. Stick under the broiler for a few minutes, Serve immediately.
