No-Cook Jams

- Mash the strawberries through a sieve or put them in a blender. Combine the mashed berries and sugar in a bowl.
- Let this mixture stand for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir powdered pectin into the water and bring to a boil. Boil rapidly for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat. Add the berries and sugar mixture to the pectin and stir for about 2 minutes.
- If using liquid pectin instead of powdered, no cooking is necessary. Just add the berries and sugar mixture directly to 1/2 cup of pectin and stir for about 2 minutes.
