A quick and easy no-cook jam bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, perfect for spreading on toast or serving with dairy, suitable for those seeking a fresh fruit spread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 package powdered pectin
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Mash the strawberries through a sieve or put them in a blender. Combine the mashed berries and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Let this mixture stand for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir powdered pectin into the water and bring to a boil. Boil rapidly for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat. Add the berries and sugar mixture to the pectin and stir for about 2 minutes.
  5. If using liquid pectin instead of powdered, no cooking is necessary. Just add the berries and sugar mixture directly to 1/2 cup of pectin and stir for about 2 minutes.
