No Peek Roast

Ingredients

  • 3 to 5 lb. boneless chuck roast
  • 1 lb. carrots, cut in chunks
  • 4 to 5 potatoes, cut in chunks
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup
  • 1 soup can water

Instructions

  1. Place meat in oven-proof container with lid.
  2. Pour both soups over meat.
  3. Pour water over soup and meat.
  4. Cover.
  5. Bake at 300° for 3 hours.
  6. Add potatoes and carrots the last 45 minutes.
  7. Don't peek during cooking!
  8. Makes its own gravy.
  9. Serves 4 to 6.
