Ingredients

  • 2 c. quick cooking oats (uncooked)
  • 1 3/4 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. grated orange peel
  • 1/4 c. orange juice

Instructions

  1. In medium sized mixing bowl, combine oats, 3/4 cup confectioners sugar, nuts, cocoa and orange peel.
  2. Add orange juice and syrup, mixing until dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened. Chill 1 hour.
  3. Shape to form 1-inch balls.
  4. Roll balls in 1/2 cup confectioners sugar; place in wax paper-lined container.
  5. Store tightly covered at least 8 hours or overnight at room temperature. Roll each ball in remaining 1/2 cup confectioners sugar.
  6. Store tightly covered.
  7. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen balls.
