Ingredients

  • 2 c. cut okra slices
  • 1 egg
  • dash of pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. self-rising corn bread mix

Instructions

  1. Mix and put in greased iron pan.
  2. Put in cold oven.
  3. Bake at 350° until set and brown.
