- Peel and core the cucumbers.
- Soak the cucumbers in 1 gallon of water and lime for 24 hours.

- Drain the cucumbers and soak for 3 to 4 hours in the remaining ingredients.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 1 hour.
- Bottle the pickles and seal them in the hot liquid.
