Old Fashioned Fruit Stack Cake

Ingredients

  • dried apples, cooked and sweetened to taste
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • dash ginger
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup black walnuts (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • milk (just enough to make a stiff batter)

Instructions

  1. mix all ingredients together, Pour out on floured cloth and knead together as would biscuits.
  2. Then tear off large enough dough pieces and make a ball and press into a greased 8-inch cake pan. Make your cake layers thin, cook on 350 degrees until done, continue this method until all the dough has been baked.
  3. Stack the cooled cake layers and put your cooked apples in between each layer.
  4. Stack as high as you want.
