Ingredients

  • 1 pt. King corn syrup (light)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine the corn syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to a boil until it forms a soft ball in water.
  2. Grease a plate and pour the hot mixture onto it; cool until you can handle it comfortably.
  3. Pull the taffy until it becomes firm enough to handle and no longer stretches easily.
  4. Roll the pulled taffy into sticks.
  5. Place the sticks on a greased plate to cool, then break into pieces with a knife. The taffy will be brittle.
