Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 large apples, peeled and sliced in eighths
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons quick tapioca
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup broken pecan pieces
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup quick rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Arrange peeled and sliced apples in a greased, 2-quart casserole dish; sprinkle with water.
  2. Combine quick tapioca, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and broken pecan pieces; spread over the apples.
  3. Mix quick rolled oats, flour, and brown sugar; cut in butter or margarine until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples and streusel.
