Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/3 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in milk and mix briskly with a fork, just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  3. Drop dumplings by heaping teaspoonfuls into boiling kettle of liquid.
  4. Cover kettle snugly.
  5. Cook for 12 minutes exactly (no peeking).
