Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add lukewarm water and Crisco, then stir until combined.
  3. Roll out the dough and cut into biscuit shapes.
  4. Turn the cut biscuits over in greased pan.
  5. Let rise for about 30 minutes.
  6. Bake in a 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
