Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 packages Smokey Hollow beef sausage
  • 10 to 12 medium red potatoes

Instructions

  1. Place the cabbage pieces at the bottom of a large pot and add the whole potatoes on top.
  2. Pour enough water into the pot to cover the ingredients.
  3. Cook until the potatoes and cabbage are about halfway tender.
  4. Add the sausage pieces to the pot.
  5. Cover and cook until all ingredients are fully tender.
  6. Stir in butter and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, optionally with cornbread.
