A bright, citrusy glaze made with orange and lemon rinds and juices, perfect for enhancing the flavor of pound cakes and other desserts with a sweet tang.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sifted confectioners sugar
  • grated rind of 1 orange
  • grated rind of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine sifted confectioners sugar, grated orange rind, grated lemon rind, orange juice, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  2. Stir until the mixture is well blended and smooth.
  3. Spread the glaze over the top and sides of the cake.
  4. Use on pound cakes for a delicious citrusy finish.
