Ingredients

  • 2 cups White Lily flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup water (approximately)
  • 10 medium oranges
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Section oranges, removing seeds, and save extra juice to make up to 1 cup with concentrated orange juice.
  2. Mix 2 cups of White Lily flour and 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. Add 1 cup of orange juice to the flour and sugar mixture and cook until it boils.
  4. Let the mixture boil for a few minutes, then add 3/4 cup of butter and stir until melted and combined.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  6. Stack biscuit rounds with orange sections in between and over the top.
  7. Serve the assembled shortcake at room temperature with sweetened cream.
